365 Days A Carer

a

I have been a full-time carer for my severely disabled husband for the past ten years. During this time, I also cared for my mother-in-law who had vascular and lewy-body dementia. She sadly died last year, but I was so grateful for the time I spent ensuring that her days and nights were as free from fear, pain and anxiety as possible. I know how lonely, frustrating, challenging and often thankless the role of family carer can be. I know only too well the silent scream – that scream that only we hear in our heads. I know how little time we have for ourselves. Often, no one sees us. Often, no one hears us. I sincerely hope that turning to this mindfulness and wellness journal for a few minutes every day will help to recharge your spirtual, emotional and physical energy, and remind you of just how absolutely awesome you are. I have designed the journal having called upon my experience as a carer, but also from my many years working as a qualified mental health practitioner. Completing it requires only a few minutes every day. It is designed not to be onerous. It is designed for you in mind.
